What?!

March 28, 2008 | Filed Under Uncategorized

I was talking on the phone to my friend Tarrah…. the one I am going to desperately miss when we move.

In just over two weeks.

She was elated because it was in the forties in Vermont. But then I informed her that it was going to snow this weekend. There was deep disappointment.

It has been beautiful here. Yes, a bit rainy and still chilly, but doable. And then it snowed last night. Like snowed. Like SNOWED!!!!! It’s March 28th. Some of you have flowers up, bird’s chirping, sweet smelling breezes. We have snow. And a whole lot of it. I comfort myself with the weather in New Mexico: 70’s all week long. There’s absolutely no snow in their forecast. I can’t wait to be able to walk every day with no coats, and mittens, and hats, and blankets, and chattering teeth. It’s going to be excellent. But I won’t have my dear friend Tarrah. It’s hard to find a friend who knows all the weird little things about you… and still likes you. Rats. I hate good-byes. Unless it’s good-bye to the snow. In that case…. bring it on.

You win, I’m totally going to stop complaining about the few snowflakes that fell yesterday here. LOL What weird weather everybody is having right now. And I’m with you on being ready to say goodbye to cold weather! The next 20 months can’t go by fast enough.

Ahhhhh, the thought of no more snow makes my heart rejoice! I know you’re going to miss your friend. That is by far the hardest part of moving for me. But God will provide new friends. And in the mean time, praise the Lord for internet.

Yep, the weather in New Mexico is beautiful. Like, go for a walk in a t-shirt and listen to the birds sing against the background of the blue sky. There’s no sky bluer than New Mexico. You’ll love it here.

Its actually in the 80s here…and will be for the next several days too. Guess we’re a little warmer then Cannon :) Although I would rather it be 60/70s – I’m not ready for this 80 degree weather – too much like summer and I don’t like the hot summers!

Goodbye’s are very hard. I hate them too.

We’re already in the 80’s here in Arizona and I haven’t really stopped wearing shorts all year long LOL

I can’t wait for you to move to New Mexico and be able to enjoy the warm weather, though again, I would rather still be back in Idaho with the four seasons, it’s still a shock to my body almost a year after we moved here.

    Hugs,
    Sandra

It was in the 80s last week, this weekend, the 40s. Ahhh…Oklahoma weather. Weather throughout the US is so weird. I hope you enjoy your weather in New Mexico. Sorry you’re going to have to leave your dear friend. I pray that you’re able to make another dear friend at your next location.

I know how you feel (about the weather anyway!) I’m tired of the cold, I’m freezing right now. It was 40 today and it’s supposed to be 50’s-60’s.
Can I move with you guys? We won’t take up TOO much room :)

That’s one thing I really enjoy about moving to Louisiana. It’s been in the 70’s off and on here since February. Yesterday it was in the 80’s. The perfect spring day. I’m not sure I could handle snow right now.

I hate having to find new friends. It’s great in the end, but SO HARD in the transition!

I have hated watching friends leave, it stings so badly. But that just means that you truly invested in one another, and that is a good thing. May you blessed with new friends in your new home. Though you will not replace each other or the history you have together, I do hope and and Tarrah both find great friends to help you adjust to life without each other. Hooray for no snow!!
