I have news you can use!

October 23, 2008 | Filed Under Uncategorized

Okay, so this isn’t the news, that’s down a few paragraphs. Bear with me…

Last night in photography class I received my marks for the first graded assignment I turned in. I was nervous walking up to get my paper back! I haven’t received a grade from a teacher in ten years. That’s a long time!

Here is my paper…

Whoo-hoo!

I was thrilled and relieved!

Here are the other two pictures I submitted last night:

The third picture is in this post.

Next week our assignment is “Patterns and Lines.” You can bet the creative gears in my mind are whirling!

NEWS! NEWS! NEWS!

Speaking of photography and cameras…

Okay, so we weren’t talking cameras but roll with it…

I am putting together an informal camera buying guide for YOU! I recruited a bunch of my friends who have some really awesome cameras, together we are going to help you figure out which camera is right for you.

Should you be in the market, that is.

I’m super excited about this! Look for the guide to be posted early next week; it should be pretty fantastic and very helpful. I’m going to (fingers crossed. HTML and I aren’t really friends.) make the guide into a link on my sidebar so that it will be easily accessible anytime you want to refer back to it.

Doing my happy dance now…!

    Yay! Congrats on the 100!

And can I just say I am super excited you’re making the buying guide. I’ve been debating for months now what I want. I was thinking the Nikon D80 but I’m really not sure! So hopefully you’re guide will put me in the right direction! I’m also pretty clueless about lenses so if you guys could put which lenses you use that’d be GREAT! :)

    Congratulations on your perfect score!

I like the idea of the camera guide. The only cameras I’ve had were the instamatics, just click, but the pictures are not the quality I’d like. What would you suggetst a beginner who wants to go the step up from an instamatic camera? The camera guide is a great idea!

I’m so looking forward to the camera buying guide. I think we might buy the Canon xsi pretty soon. I hope! Took the children to a portrait studio yesterday and am so disappointed with the results. I want to take pictures of them myself.

And I’ve been meaning to email you… thank you thank you for posting that amazing recipe. I made the bread and cinnamon rolls the other night and they were amazing! My husband ate the entire pan. And bonus… EGG FREE!!!!

  19. Farm Fresh Jessica on October 25th, 2008 7:40 pm

    Great job!

Ummm…you took a picture of your score? That’s so not like you…I mean, you hardly ever take pictures!

Ha! Love it! What else would you do in a photog class?

  20. Michelle on October 26th, 2008 8:39 am

Yeah! A camera guide!! Reason #526 to love you even more! Can’t tell I’m excited now, can ya?

BTW, your cinnamon rolls inspired me and I made two pans this weekend. One for the family to inhale…er.. eat and one to take to the midwife’s office on Wednesday.

And congratulations on the 100!! You most certainly have earned the bragging rights, my friend! :)
