San Antonio and a Sunset
March 25, 2009 | Filed Under Life Stuff
We are headed to San Antonio today, or rather I should say, tonight. We took it easy today, coupling that with Judah having an ultrasound appointment this morning and me needing to get my hair colored… well, we certainly aren’t getting an early start. But, that’s okay! Y’all, we are on vacation!
We are driving only halfway today, hopefully staying at Dyess AFB for the night, and then finishing up the driving tomorrow. Nine hours in one shot is a tough drive with three little ones. Besides, my kids are always up for staying in a hotel! Such adventure.
We have the zoo and the aquarium on the ticket for tomorrow; Sea World on Friday, and IKEA on Saturday. And, you know, whatever else fun stuff we find to add in along the way.
I love this type of vacation… a general idea but no cement plans. I appreciate a vacation that makes room for plenty of adventure and surprise.
Last night we spent some time at a pond on a golf course close to our house; Eve found a tree that has just the perfect spot for lounging in. I did not pose her, this was all her doing. And if I didn’t know her better, I’d think she was trying to be model-esq. But, she’s way too naive and beautifully innocent for all that.
I’m bringing my “sweet girl” along on our vacation so in essence, I’m bringing you . Are you up for it?

Have a wonderful time in SA! Try to allow some time for the Alamo and Mexican food on the riverwalk!
Also – that is a great picture of Eve!

I havent been to san Antonio in years…but such a great city. The river walk such beauty..the Alamo…such history. Enjoy your vacation…and I love your new look.
Your feed, even when updated to point to this new site, still only updates from to your old blog. Is something wrong with the feed?
Well, I’ve *tried* to update the link on my blog. But even when I copy and paste the new URL directly into the blogger widget thingy, the link still takes me to the old blog. =(.
Okay, everybody beat me to the good hotspots:
1. Riverwalk (totally great, especially the scenic boat ride)
2. The Alamo (easy and right across the street from the Riverwalk)
3. The bluebonnets are a MUST for any photographer! Hopefully you’ll find fields of them!
4. You are my kind of girl and hitting IKEA. You almost need a whole day for that one!
And yes, I would SO have my hair colored before a good vacation! Glad to see your priorities are in order!
Have a great time girlie! Can’t wait to see all your pics!
BTW, love the new digs! Hip and cool ~ just like you!
I see there are a couple other people with the same issue I’m having – I’ve tried at least 5 times to subscribe here with google reader and I keep getting resubscribed to your old blog. I don’t want to miss you guys!

Love the new “home”
When I try to add it to my reader, for some reason it automatically changes it to your old site (adds blogspot)?! Have fun on vacation! Can’t wait to see more pictures.

Hey, love the new look! What platform are you using now? It looks kind of like Wordpress.

Yes, it is Wordpress! And I love it. SO much easier to navigate. I definitely recommend it is you are looking into switching.
